WEEK OF:
09/24 – 09/28


Greetings and salutations and welcome to another Monday Visions! The fall equinox was Saturday and I just knew I had to ring in the changing season with a little style. So I put on my comfiest outfit and began a slow flow yoga session beginning at 9:54 p.m. exactly, the precise time of the equinox this year. And boy was it lovely! I was able to clear my head, let go of some things that were needlessly holding me down, and honor the changing of the seasons as well as the changes in store for myself. My gears have been a turning in discontent lately and the equinox seemed like the perfect time to stop any bad habits in their tracks and turn over a new leaf. I’ve given my whole routine a makeover. Pop on over to my I’m Doing it All Wrong post to get a more in depth idea of what’s been going on in my mindbrain.

GOALS


  • Connector.

    Yoga

    Complete both chakra challenges. Learn about and create flash cards for 2 yoga poses.

  • Connector.

    Meditation

    Meditation 1x/day. Guided meditations only.

  • Connector.

    Bullet Journal

    Complete all aspects, including monthly, weekly, daily, and any trackers, for month of October before the 1st of the month.

  • Connector.

    Essential Oils

    Learn about and create flash cards for 3 essential oils. Find/create/make 3 recipes.

  • Connector.

    Health

    Luxurious bath, foot scrub, body oil, lotion, and nail painting. Face mask, scrub, wash, moisturizer. Dance or hike 3x for at least 30 mins each.

This week is all about reconnecting and balancing myself. I’ll be doing 2 chakra challenges to rebalance anything that is on the fritz. One I’ll complete in the morn and the other in the evening. I’ll also be trying to incorporate the appropriate mantras and colors into my mind, wardrobe, and diet. I’ll be creating flash cards for 2 yoga poses and 3 essential oils, showing up every day for a guided meditation, and completing October in my kick-ass bullet journal. To round it out I’ll be pampering myself with some spa time for face and body and getting my bones movin’ and groovin’ a few times.

    Whenever I’m feeling frustrated and ready to quit, just gotta pop this little truth nugget into my brain.

CHALLENGES

Challenges this week range from time management and energy levels to focus and dedication. I recently acquired a new job that’s very convenient for me for a multitude of reasons, one being it’s about a 2 minute drive from my house. Another big sell is I can work part-time so I’ll be able to dedicate an ample amount of time to my various interest, including this blog. Will I be able to use that time wisely or will I squander it like a foolishly irresponsible child with an overabundance of birthday money? Can I keep my energy high enough or at least give it my best Stretch Armstrong try? Will I dedicate myself to the betterment of myself? Only one way to find out.

    Time Management

    New job, new schedule, yoga, blog posts, meditation, multiple projects. Lots of to-dos, never enough time. Will I dedicate the appropriate time to everything? Or will I let things get away from me?

  • Connector.

    Energy Levels

    That new job? Entails waking up and getting to moving earlier than I’m used to and I am TIRED. Can I keep my energy up enough to tackle all my various tasks?

  • Connector.

    Focus and Dedication

    I’ve a nice variety of undertakings I’ve taken on but can I actually dedicate to following through with each one? Can I hike my lazy bum into the mountains for at least 30 minutes? Will I actually make that yoga mat cleaner? Can I laser my focus to empty my brain of thoughts and meditate like a faux pro?

YOGA

For practicing yoga for 5 days in a row, my reward is...

OUTDOOR YOGA

1 mid-morning to afternoon yoga session in the beautiful great outdoors

MEDITATION

For meditating for 5 days in a row, my reward is...

TEA TIME

Afternoon tea and books, preferably also in the out of doors

EXERCISE

For dancing/hiking at least 3 days for a minimum of 30 mins, my reward is...

FISHING PICNIC

An afternoon fishing, complete with mimosa picnic.

CURRENT STATS

Little engine that could over here. Chugging along slowly to the song in her head, slowing ticking off boxes as she goes. Revamping this section a bit as well. Instead of 30 days of yoga, meditation, and reading, I’m gonna bump it up to 100 days to carry through till the end of the year. Only day 2 of useless facts, which I’ll include here, but check out my twitter from here on out for daily useless facts. Now on to the fact!!:
