WELCOME TO MY
10/8 – 10-15
Sweet swirling onion rings have I got a vision for this week!! This whole week… this whole week will be spent exploring and learning about that lovely safety and security chakra, Muladhara. Number one, I can’t wait to dive in and learn all about it! And number two I am beyond excited to start working with ways to get realigned and back into balance and harmony. Check back in each day to see what exactly I’m focusing on and how it’s working out for me. Here’s a quick breakdown of what I expect to happen this week:
Yoga work this week will consist of many grounding practices. I want to create at least 4 sequences myself but I also want to follow along with 1 class a day. I also want to continue working on head/handstand, crow, and chaturanga. I WILL master these poses!
Besides that yoga work, I’ve got meditation to attend to. This meditation stuff. Oh my stars I’m bad at it. But I am bound and determined to get into a routine. Excuses out the door, I have more than enough time to fit it into my day, so there’s no reason but me to not get it accomplished. I think my best course of action this week would be to focus on muladhara meditations.
Did someone say clean eating? Um… yes. Yes. It was me. I said it cuz I’m excited to start eating a healthier diet! It’s time to put that plan into motion. I know root veggies, proteins, and red foods are all great things for this chakra so I expect to include a lot. Red fruit shakes, root veggie meals, egg muffin breakfasts; I got ideas.
Muladhara chakra yoga: 1 online class a day, 4 self led/made classes. Headstand, chaturanga, and crow practice.
Jeezy Creezy criminetly, I swear that I am GOING to do this damned meditation. Just once a day, of some freaking kind, I don’t even care what at this point. Get it the crap together, me. You know you’ll probably like it. Just DO IT!!!
This week, since I’m focused on the root chakra, I will be making recipes that best fit into that category. Root veggies, proteins, all things tasty and red, I’ll be finding and making the most scrumptious, balanced meals I can.
I didn’t get to finish this week’s spread so I’ll be quickly trying to finish that within the first day. And since I know I’ve got some crap-ass time management I oughtta just go ahead and get next week’s done as well. Two birds, one stone, all that jazzy nonsense.
I want to get my butt back into the lean mean no flabby jiggle zone. I’ll be switching between pilates (2x), dance (2x), and weight lifting (2x) this first week as I strive to maintain a routine practice.
Love crafts this week will consist of reading about and trying to incorprate as many muladhara balancing tricks, tips, and activities as possible. I’ll create one piece of art.
I always have dry skin and it gets bad in fall and then exponentially worse in winter. There will be 1 regular bath, and at least 2 foot baths. Oils, lotions, and face scrubs oh my! All have a place on my self-love goal list this week!
I had wanted to start a bit of minimalist type exercise last week but, surprise surprise, that just didn’t end up happening. I am beyond less than infatuated with the way my body looks and feels right now and I’ll be making a concerted effort to fit in some challenging exercise this week. I’ve got the Beachbody 21 day Fix program but don’t relish having to do any cardio, so instead I’ll be switching it up with some dancing or pilates but still including the 21 day Fix weightlifting videos.
Love Crafts will involve aromatherapy, art, journaling, and tons of reading, note taking, and much more. I want to create a piece of art work focused, of course, on muladhara. Whether that’s a drawing or a watercolor or what have you, doesn’t really matter, so long as I get some artsy expression out of myself.
Hoo-wee! I am feeling the dryness in the air something fierce! My fingers and my feet are getting that scratchy catchy feeling. It’s time to start moisturizing like nobody’s business. And I may as well pamper myself with some loving self-care. Baths are my favorite of all so I may try to fit in more than one this week.
I am grounded...
What could be more fitting for this week? My grounding intention includes my personal, home, work, emotional, rational, spiritual, etc. states of being.
The Bija mantra (listen don’t ask me exactly what that means. I don’t know yet.) for this chakra is Lam. I’ll be getting my chant on, feeling those rumbling healing vibrations throughout my chest and body.
I am supported...
In my practice, in my interests and desires, by the earth, by my intentions, by my friends, family, and myself.
Time management! Time management! Time management! I have a lot I want to accomplish this week and some of it is time consuming. If I’m not careful, I’ll end up pushing a lot of things aside. I’ll need to work on delegating my time appropriately and effectively.
Website/ blog work. I am working hard at working on this website more and creating blogs but, if you haven’t guessed by now, I’m a slow worker. And with other projects on my plate, this one tends to get pushed to the far far back simply because it seems the most daunting to me. But I’m picking up steam with it and if I begin to chip away at it a little bit at a time, it surely won’t seem so daunting over time. Also I’m sure once I get a better grasp of it, I’ll be able to churn out content much more quickly.
Energy Levels. I have been busy lately. Working, yoga, projects, cleaning, cooking. It’s wearing me out! I’ll be going good and then I’ll take a break in the evening and it’s like I’ve been hit by a ton of bricks. I am just beat by the end of the day and have been hitting the pillow fairly early, even for me and I regularly turn in like I’m an extremely proud member of the old folks club. Some projects may not get done on time if I’m passing out like I’ve consumed an entire gallon of melatonin every night.
I have a lot on my plate. Will I get it all accomplished or will I squander that most precious of all commodities?
Can I keep up with blogging? An update blog a day? Too much or just the right challenge?
Energy: High or Low
Lots of projects means lots of energy expended. Can I make it last the whole day through or will I be tossing in the towel as early as possible?
Beautiful gifts for a job well-done and goals knocked out of the park. Will I be able to indulge myself or will I miss out?
Things are moving up in the stat world. I’ve been getting more consistent at completing things every day. I’m getting rid of the 1 fact a day however. I can’t keep up with it and it’s setting myself and any readers I may possibly have up for failure. So no mas. I’ll be replacing it with tracking my bullet journaling. Since there’s only 92 days left in the year, it made sense to just track until then. In fact…. I may as well just switch all my trackers to reflect that! EVERYBODY HOLD THE PHONE! New plan! NEW PLAN!! All trackers will now reflect this brilliant new idea. Good thought me.
